The Flower Exchange.com offers fresh cut flowers at wholesale level direct from the farms located worldwide (Colombia, Ecuador, Central America, Holland , Tahiland and US). They offer a wide variety of products ranging from roses to the rarest orchids, all available for the US , Canada and Caribbean. The company was established in 2001 selling mainly to the Miami, (Fl) market to flower shops and event/ wedding coordinators.
Problem
For their web site, The Flower Exchange invested a lot time and resources building a complete flower catalogue with descriptions, an e-commerce solution. After more than year, they had not seen any significant traffic from organic search, and the paid search program was very low and not professionally managed. The website was only visited by the actual customers that where acquired by traditional means (phone, direct mail,etc) the total unique visitors for the website during the first two years where an average of 12 a day. They had a very well designed website, a strong e-eCommerce solution but there was no new traffic at all.
Solution
After studying the search characteristics of the market, online media planet proposed site architecture to build up the companies strengths: the fact that the company offered more than 200 products. The site was completely redesigned in terms of programming coding, we applied our content management solution, having a more substantial amount of text, images where optimized as well, and the link building campaign was placed into action.
